INTRODUCTION
With the present configuration of most cyber cafes, a lot of resources are wasted. When they close for the day, they shut down all their equipments therefore denying people who want to continue using then the privilege of doing so. Also they lose income.
The fact that they have shut down does not mean they will not continue to pay for bandwidth resources that is not in use, especially those on monthly bandwidth subscription plans.
The solution is for them to deploy internet café hotspot solution to enable them run on a 24hrs bases. When they shut down for the day, the inverter and external access point kicks in and continue to give valuable resources to those who still need it. This is extra income to the café owner.
HOW IT WORKS
An external WIFI Access point will be installed at the café owner’s premises to enable customers who stay within a 4 kilometer radius access the café network and internet service. An inverter system will also be installed that can run the service on a 24 hrs bases.
What this means is that customers in an around the café can buy tickets from the café owner and browse in their homes. Small businesses around can also buy monthly plans from the café owner to browse the internet.
Customers can also purchase tickets to log into the hotspot through the use of ATM cards and Mobile money accounts like eazymoney, pocket monie, paga, easywallet, etc. This eliminates the need to have a café attendant to sell tickets.
This solution effectively converts the café owner into an internet service provider with huge extra income.
