Prince William and Prince Harry will set aside their feud and support their father King Charles III by marching with him behind the Queen's coffin as it leaves Buckingham Palace for the final time today.
Her Majesty has spent her final night in the Bow Room of her London home before she is conveyed on a gun carriage to Westminster Hall - the ancient heart of Parliament - where she will lie in state for four days until her funeral on Monday.
More than 1million people are expected to queue in central London for up to 35 hours to walk past her casket - but experts believe only 400,000 will make it inside meaning 600,000 people will be left disappointed.
The Queen arrived at Buckingham Palace last night to tears and cheers from the huge crowds who stood in the pouring rain to welcome her home after her death at Balmoral last Thursday.
The route from RAF Northolt to the palace was packed. There was a wave of lights as many raised their mobile phones in the air to film the hearse as it passed.
As the hearse drove through the gates, Charles could be seen bowing his head with Harry and Meghan stood solemnly behind the monarch.
At 2.22pm exactly this afternoon, the Queen's coffin will be placed on a gun carriage and lead a procession down a packed Mall, along Whitehall and then into Parliament Square before entering the Palace of Westminster followed by her son, the new King, and her children and grandchildren.
The near 1,000-year-old Westminster Hall is where her father King George VI would lie in state in 1952 and where the public could pass the coffin of her mother, the Queen Mother, in 2002.
Her Majesty's closed coffin will be placed on a catafalque - a raised platform, covered in the Royal Standard with the orb and sceptre placed on top.
Charles, William and Harry - along with the Duke of York, the Princess Royal and the Earl of Wessex - will follow the coffin on foot as it makes its 38-minute journey in front of thousands of mourners lining the streets in central London.
For William and Harry it will bring back painful memories of when they, aged 15 and 12, walked behind the coffin of their mother Princess Diana in 1997.
Anne's son Peter Phillips and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence will also walk in the procession, as well as the Duke of Gloucester and the Earl of Snowdon.
The Queen Consort, the Princess of Wales, the Countess of Wessex and the Duchess of Sussex will travel by car.
The procession will leave Buckingham Palace at 2.22pm borne by gun carriage of the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
The route will take the coffin through the Queen's Gardens, The Mall, Horse Guards Parade and Horse Guards Arch, Whitehall, Parliament Street, Parliament Square and New Palace Yard.
Elizabeth II made her final journey home to Buckingham Palace on Tuesday after her coffin travelled across the country from Balmoral.
Charles and the Royal Family can be seen through a glass window waiting to meet the coffin
William and Harry will walk behind the Queen's coffin tomorrow, similar to the funeral of their mother Princess Diana when they were children in 1997
Thousands crowded the streets as the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II arrived in the Royal Hearse at Buckingham Palace
The Queen will be moved to the Palace of Westminster where she will lie in state.

William and Harry reunited in mourning for their grandmother this week and met well-wishers outside Windsor Castle
The brothers were joined by wives Catherine and Meghan as the 'Fab Four' greeted the public on Saturday September 10

1 - CONTE GOT IT RIGHT ON NDOMBELE
When Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte issues a verdict, it is very rare for him to make a mistake.
The Italian coach did not consider Tanguy Ndombele a suitable player for Tottenham and his start to Serie A in Napoli confirms Conte's views on his poor physical and mental state.
The former France international is currently a burden for the Neapolitan club's midfield and after 45 minutes Luciano Spalletti decided to replace Ndombele with Stanislav Lobotka, restoring tactical intelligence and quality to the midfield.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte was right about Tanguy Ndombele, who is struggling for Napoli
In order to be a regular starter in the Napoli line-up, Ndombele will have to work on his aggressive tackling.
Ndombele seems unable to avoid picking up yellow or red cards with the amount of fouls given against him already in Serie A this season.
Eljif Elmas and Lobotka offer more stable technical and tactical guarantees and the Frenchman wearing No 91 is last in the pecking order under Luciano Spalletti, who is rather disappointed by his start in Serie A.
Lobotka is indispensable to Napoli, but will not be able to play all the games this campaign, and for this reason it is absolutely essential to recover a player who until a few years ago seemed destined to become a top player.
Ndombele, who is on loan at Napoli, has already fallen down the pecking order since joining
2 - RASPADORI IMPORTANT FOR NAPOLI
As the months go by, the comparison seems more and more to be the right one: Giacomo Raspadori resembles Paolo Rossi in a very strong way.
The Italian attacker bought by Sassuolo is proving to have talent and can be a huge success for title challengers Napoli.

Blue Jackets' GM hedges on Finn-ished products in NHL draft By Associated Press
Published: 01:16 BST, 24 June 2016 | Updated: 01:16 BST, 24 June 2016
e-mail
BUFFALO, N.Y.
(AP) — When it comes to the NHL draft, Columbus Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen is team first, nation second.
Though he's from Finland, Kekalainen has never been a member of an NHL team's scouting staff that has selected a Finnish-born player in the first round. And that trend might extend to Friday, when the Blue Jackets have the third pick in a draft class that's headed by Arizona-born center Auston Matthews, followed by Finnish-born forwards Patrik Laine and Jesse Puljujarvi.
"Everybody keeps assuming, everybody keeps asking me the same question," Kekalainen said Thursday, of the possibility he'll select a Finn.
"For me, it's the excitement of picking the best possible player for the Blue Jackets that counts."
Kekalainen hasn't ruled out trading out the No. 3 spot, depending on which two players are selected first.
And it doesn't matter to him how passing over one of the Finns might make it difficult for him on his next trip home.
"It doesn't bother me one bit," said Kekalainen, who previously worked as a top scout for Ottawa and St.
Louis. "I'll go to my cottage and nobody will find me."
A glance of the some of the draft's top-ranked prospects:
___
C Auston Matthews, 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, from Scottsdale, Arizona: Was born on Sept. 17, 1997, two days past being eligible for the draft last year. Passed on opportunity to spend a year playing at college or the Canadian Junior ranks to play professionally for Zurich. Finished second in the Swiss Elite League MVP voting leading the Marc Crawford-coach Lions with 24 goals, while adding 22 assists in 36 games.
Despite a two-month layoff after Zurich was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in March, Matthews led the United States with six goals, while adding three assists at the world championships.
Said NHL Central Scouting director Dan Marr: "Matthews is an extraordinary prospect with NHL size, speed and smarts. He is the ultimate package."
___
RW Patrik Laine, 6-4, 206 pounds, from Tampere, Finland: Led Finnish Elite League rookies with 17 goals and 33 points in 46 games.
Was named league's playoff MVP after scoring 10 goals and 15 points in helping Tappara win league championship.
Said Marr: "He is a natural scorer who possesses an NHL-caliber shot."
___
RW Jesse Puljujarvi, 6-4, 203 pounds, from Tornio, Finland: Helped Finland win world junior championships in January with tournament-leading 17 points (five goals, 12 assists).
Had 13 goals, 15 assists in 50 games for Karpat of Finnish Elite League.
Said Marr: Puljujarvi is the ultimate power forward package. He is big, mobile, highly skilled, well-rounded winger who is both a scorer and a playmaker."
___
LW Pierre-Luc Dubois, 6-2, 201 pounds, from Rimouski, Quebec: Finished third in the QMJHL in scoring with 99 points (42 goals, 57 assists). His father, Eric, was selected by the Quebec Nordiques with 76th pick in 1989 draft, but never played in NHL.
Said Marr: "He can play all three forward positions.
He excels at utilizing his size and strength to his advantage, and can play with an edge."
___
LW Matthew Tkachuk, 6-2, 200 pounds, from St. Louis: Was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, while his father Keith Tkachuk played for the Coyotes. Overcame a lower-body injury to lead Ontario Hockey League London Knights to win Canadian Junior Memorial Cup. Led London in OHL playoffs with 40 points (20 goals, 20 assists) and in Memorial Cup with eight points (five goals, three assists), including OT goal in final.
Said Marr: "One of the best puck protection players eligible for the 2016 NHL Draft.
He is difficult to check and willing to go to the hard areas to score goals."

Chile's hopes of securing a last-minute ticket to the World Cup in extraordinary circumstances were boosted on Thursday when Ecuador's Byron Castillo failed to attend a FIFA Appeal Commission hearing into his nationality.
FIFA had ordered Castillo to make himself available for the hearing, which was conducted remotely by three judges from Zurich, after Sportsmail revealed new evidence by publishing an audio recording of the Ecuador international revealing birth details which matched his Colombian birth certificate earlier this week.
Castillo was not willing to submit to cross-examination from the judges however, leaving Ecuador Football Federation officials to argue his case.

The Chile FA claim to have documents proving Castillo was never eligible to represent Ecuador - a case seemingly supported by his audio confession - and that as a result they should forfeit the qualifying matches in which he played, which would send Chile to the World Cup.
FIFA have 20 days to deliver a verdict, but with the World Cup just nine weeks away are expected to announce their decision within days.
The FIFA judge presiding over the case is Neil Eggleston, an American who served under president Barack Obama in the White House.
Chile could take their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne if FIFA rule against them, but are running out of time as Ecuador are due to take part in the opening game of the World Cup against Qatar on 20 November.
The name of Byron Castillo was given on the Ecuadorian birth certificate (left), while his real name of Bayron Javier Castillo Segura is on the Colombian birth certificate (right)

Princess Diana's much loved car is up for sale, 25 years after her death.
The Ford Escort RS was driven by the princess from 1985 to 1988, during the early years of her sons William and Harry's childhoods.
After being won on a radio station competition in the 90s, it was privately owned for a number of years before becoming part of a Ford RS collection, where it has been kept in 'top condition'.
Much less flashy than her later cars, mother-of-two Diana shunned the Royals' Rolls-Royces and Daimlers for the modest Escort for a time and was often pictured driving it in London.
Silverstone Auctions Classic Car Specialist Arwell Richards told FEMAIL: 'We wouldn't be surprised if it went for over £100,000.'

The royal car is expected to fetch six figures at auction this month

The stealthy, black Escort RS Turbo was insisted on by the royal and was given a special "stealth makeover" by Ford's Special Vehicle Engineering department
The car would have been driven by the Princess with a detective in the passenger seat.
It will go under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions, in Leamington Spa, on August 27.
The auctioneers continued: 'Parallels could be drawn with the RS Turbo's reputation as the People's Sports Car and the honorific of People's Princess bestowed by the British public on Princess Diana.
'The RS Turbo was never designed to be driven by the wife of the second in line to the British throne nor to transport the future King.

'We note with interest that whilst Diana's later choice of luxury cars may have been more expensive when new, but the Ford Escort RS Turbo far outperforms them at auction, selling in some cases for three times the price of equivalent models.'
The 132 horsepower Ford was a replacement for her previous Escort - which was red and had a canvas folding roof.
SO14, the royal protection service, made her change this because it gave her little privacy and no protection.
The car was given a royal makeover by Ford's engineers for the princess' protection during the 80's

The stealthy, black Escort RS Turbo was insisted on by the Diana and was given a special 'stealth makeover' by Ford's Special Vehicle Engineering department.
It was given a regular five-slat front grille, rather than the usual three, and a second rear view mirror for the protection officer with a radio in the glove box.
But it was still delivered with the blue RS striped decals and front fog lamps.
It is thought that the Ford provided a break from her official duties and would have been used for meeting girlfriends for lunch or nipping to the shops.
Much less flashy than her later cars, mother-of-two of-two Diana shunned the Royals' Rolls-Royces and Daimlers for the modest Escort Turbo, pictured

Silverstone Auctions Classic Car Specialist Arwel Richards said: 'We have sold a number of motorcars that have had a Royal pedigree but this car ticks every box in terms of history, rarity, condition and mileage.
The market adores early Ford RS models.
Princess Diana is photographed getting into the car in 1986, wearing a chic autumnal ensemble and court shoes
'When Royal cars come to auction they're usually Rolls-Royces or Range Rovers so to offer the very best example of the working class hero's sports hatchback with such provenance is perhaps unique and therefore very exciting.
'Isn't it fascinating that the Escort RS Turbo was to be synonymous with the white stilettos of Essex but it's first champion was the most glamorous woman on earth?'
After Diana, the car was bought for modest £2,638 by Ford manager Geoff King for his wife.
In September 1993, it was part of a promotional giveaway by radio station Kiss FM and won by a Miss Jones of Essex.
It was then owned from 1994 to 2008 by a Mr Windsor before being added to one of the best Ford RS collections in the UK.
The princess had a love for fords and was bought a Ford Escort Ghia in Silver as a present by Prince Charles, the car was famously used by Diana during her days working at a nursery
The car would have been driven by the Princess with a detective in the passenger seat during the years where the IRA were a larger threat to public safety
The Ford was a 'stealth version' of Diana's original Red Ford Escort, which had a folding roof
The vintage car, driven by global icon Princess Diana, is a blast from the past but looks brand new in auction photos
With less than 25,000 miles on the clock, the car is in exceptional condition and comes with a Lifetime Tracker, a spare key, Ford internal memos and the car's registration documents.
Princess Diana's was commonly pictured in another Ford, a 1981 Ford Escort Ghia Saloon that was up for auction last as part of a specialist Royalty auction after having disappeared from public view for over two decades.
The Ford Escort Ghia in Silver was the car given by Prince Charles to his fiancé as an engagement present in May 1981, two months before the Royal Wedding and used by her until August 1982.
It was reportedly owned by a female who's identity was withheld, and she upkept the condition of the car including a silver frog mascot on the bonnet which was a copy of a gift from Diana's sister, Lady Sarah Spencer, to remind her of the fairy tale of a beautiful girl whose kiss turns a frog into a prince.
It was estimated the Ford would reach £40,000 at auction and it sold for £47,000.
